At 404 SW 177th Ave. in Pembroke Pines, around 9:42 a.m., police and fire officials responded to a call about an injured child. They found the 2-year-old girl bleeding heavily from her neck. They provided immediate medical care and rushed her to Memorial Regional Hospital. Despite their efforts, the girl passed away. Duran was taken into custody and moved to Broward County Jail.
