The Secret Service confirmed the death of the shooter and one rally attendee, with two others sustaining injuries. The fundraiser, spearheaded by Meredith O’Rourke, the national finance director and senior adviser to the Trump campaign, has garnered support from notable figures like UFC CEO Dana White and musician Kid Rock, both contributing $50,000. Vivek Ramaswamy, a former 2024 presidential candidate who endorsed Trump, also donated $30,000 to the cause. The fundraiser has received contributions from various individuals, including Republican Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dave McCormick and his wife, as well as Happy Dad President John Shahidi, among others. The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, was swiftly neutralized by security after opening fire at the rally. Despite the harrowing incident, Trump confirmed his participation in the upcoming Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, expressing gratitude for the support and acknowledging the role of divine intervention in averting a greater tragedy.
