Manchester United has officially signed Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich in a deal valued at €15 million (£12.8 million, $16.5 million), with an additional €5 million (£4.3 million, $5.5 million) in potential add-ons. The 26-year-old Moroccan international has committed to a four-year contract at Old Trafford, with an option for an extra year. Mazraoui joins fellow former Bayern teammate Matthijs de Ligt, whose transfer was also confirmed on the same day. Expressing his enthusiasm, Mazraoui stated, “It’s an incredible feeling to be a Manchester United player,” highlighting his eagerness to don the iconic red shirt. He acknowledged the significant role manager Erik ten Hag played in his development, emphasizing his commitment to contributing to the team's success. Sporting director Dan Ashworth praised Mazraoui as a dynamic full-back capable of playing on both flanks, noting his winning mentality as a valuable asset for the club. Mazraoui's arrival follows the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who transferred to West Ham United for £15 million. Last season, Diogo Dalot was the preferred right-back, while Wan-Bissaka often filled in at left-back due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Mazraoui, primarily a right-back, is also adept at playing left-back, a position he frequently occupies for the Moroccan national team. The club successfully completed the double signing of Mazraoui and De Ligt ahead of their upcoming match against Fulham, with De Ligt also expressing excitement about joining such a historic club.
