Oasis reunion auction: Noel Gallagher’s guitars and iconic memorabilia

Sotheby’s is hosting its inaugural pop culture auction, featuring iconic items from music history, including guitars used by Noel Gallagher during the recording of Oasis’s debut album, Definitely Maybe. This auction coincides with the 30th anniversary reissue of the album, which was released in 1994 and became the fastest-selling debut in British music history. The guitars, including one featured on the cover of the single 'Supersonic,' are expected to fetch significant sums, with estimates ranging from £20,000 to £30,000. In addition to Gallagher’s guitars, the auction includes a Steinway grand piano from Abbey Road studios, which has a rich history of being played by renowned artists such as Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, and Amy Winehouse. This piano, purchased in 1973, is anticipated to sell for between £150,000 and £200,000.
