- Her father reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of the fake doctor, Ashutosh Mishra, who could not provide valid medical certificates.
- The case underscores the critical issue of unqualified practitioners in healthcare and the need for regulatory measures.
On August 29, a nine-year-old girl named Anchal was admitted to a private clinic in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, due to an unspecified illness. Her father, Lalta Prasad Saket, sought medical help, but the situation worsened when the girl required oxygen. Unfortunately, the clinic staff informed them that there were no oxygen cylinders available. This negligence forced them to transfer Anchal to a government hospital, where she tragically passed away shortly after receiving oxygen. Following the incident, her father filed a complaint at the Chitrangi police station, alleging that the private hospital's negligence led to his daughter's death. The police took immediate action, leading to the arrest of the alleged quack, Ashutosh Mishra, who operated the clinic. Upon investigation, it was revealed that Mishra could not provide any valid medical certificates to prove his qualifications. The police, under the supervision of station in-charge Surendra Yadav, registered a case based on the family's complaint. The arrest took place in Mirzapur, where Mishra resided. His inability to produce legitimate medical documents raised serious concerns about the safety and legality of his medical practice. This tragic event highlights the dangers posed by unqualified individuals posing as medical professionals, emphasizing the need for stricter regulations and oversight in the healthcare sector to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
