Nurse fights off gangrape attempt at Samastipur hospital

In a disturbing incident in Samastipur district, Bihar, a female nurse working the night shift at a private hospital was attacked by a drunk doctor and two staff members who allegedly attempted to sexually assault her. In a desperate act of self-defense, the nurse used a blade to inflict serious injuries on the doctor's private parts before fleeing the scene. She sought refuge in a nearby maize field and contacted the police through the emergency helpline 112. Upon receiving her call, the police quickly arrived at the hospital and found the doctor along with two accomplices in an intoxicated state. The injured doctor was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was later referred to DMCH for further medical care. The incident occurred near Gangapur village, under the jurisdiction of Musrigharari police station. The accused doctor, identified as Dr. Sanjay Kumar, is reported to be affiliated with the Hindu Samaj Party and holds a significant position within the organization. The other two individuals arrested were identified as Sunil Kumar Gupta and Awadhesh Kumar, both from nearby villages. The police have initiated an FIR based on the nurse's statement, and investigations are ongoing.
