In the early hours of Monday, December 2, 2024, a theft occurred in Manhattan, New York City. A 41-year-old man was attacked in his apartment located on Second Avenue near East 106th Street. Around 2:25 a.m., three masked individuals entered his third-floor apartment through a fire escape while the victim was asleep. The intruders, wearing black hoodies and masks, used a weapon to threaten the resident, demanding cash and cannabis. During the incident, the suspects searched through the victim's belongings and stole a total of 14 designer watches valued at approximately $10,000, which included brands such as Hugo Boss, Casio, and TAG Heuer. After committing the crime, the assailants exited the apartment through the front door and remain at large as of Monday evening. The victim, despite sustaining swelling on his face in the confrontation, declined medical attention. A 42-year-old woman was also present in the apartment at the time of the incident, though she was uninjured. Authorities have not confirmed whether the victim was specifically targeted or if this was a random act of robbery.
