Story

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released images of three individuals believed to be involved in the fatal shooting of former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor. The grainy photos, made public on Sunday, depict the suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts, with one identified as the shooter due to a distinctive tattoo above his left eye and on his right cheek. The images also feature a stolen black four-door Infiniti Q50 sedan, which authorities believe was used in the crime. Wactor, 37, was shot on May 25 as he left work at a downtown rooftop bar. According to reports, he was walking with a coworker when he encountered the suspects, who were attempting to steal a catalytic converter. The situation escalated when one of the men brandished a firearm and shot Wactor before fleeing the scene in the stolen vehicle. In a June news conference, Los Angeles City Councilman Kevin de León emphasized the seriousness of catalytic converter thefts, which are often dismissed as minor crimes. He urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward, highlighting the tragic consequences that can arise from such acts. “This tragic incident underscores just how quickly such acts can escalate into deadly violence,” de León stated. Wactor, known for his role as Brando Corbin on “General Hospital” from 2020 to 2022, also appeared in other television series, including “Criminal Minds” and “Siberia.” The investigation into his death continues, with authorities seeking public assistance.
