Andra Day, the acclaimed singer and actress, has voiced her worries about a temporary tattoo she received for her role in the upcoming film *The Deliverance*. In an interview with People, Day, whose real name is Cassandra Monique Batie, revealed that she was informed the tattoo would last between nine to thirteen months. She humorously noted that people now mistakenly believe she has three children, referring to her fictional offspring in the film, which has led her to feel like a "fake mom of fake kids." In *The Deliverance*, directed by Lee Daniels, Day portrays an alcoholic single mother who seeks help from Apostle Bernice James, played by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, to exorcise a demon from her character. The film, inspired by the real-life Latoya Ammons family possession case, features a cast that includes Caleb McLaughlin, Anthony B. Jenkins, and Demi Singleton. Day initially hesitated to take on a role involving demonic possession but found peace after praying about it, emphasizing the importance of portraying flawed characters who strive to do their best. The film is set to hit limited theaters in the U.S. this Friday and will be available for streaming on Netflix starting August 30. Day previously collaborated with Daniels in 2021 for *The United States vs. Billie Holiday*, earning an Academy Award nomination for her performance. She is also scheduled to perform at The Blue Note Jazz Festival in Napa, California, from August 30 to September 1.
