Chevrolet Unveils 2025 Corvette ZR1 with Record-Breaking Power

Chevrolet has officially introduced the highly anticipated 2025 Corvette ZR1, boasting an impressive 1,064 horsepower generated by its 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. This engine is touted as the "most powerful V8 ever produced in America" by an auto manufacturer, marking a significant milestone for the brand. The ZR1 is set to deliver the highest power output from a factory Corvette to date, with an estimated top speed exceeding 215 miles per hour, achieved during racetrack testing. While Chevrolet has yet to disclose an official price for the ZR1, industry estimates suggest a starting MSRP around $180,000. Production of the new sports car is scheduled to commence next year at the General Motors Bowling Green Assembly Plant, which also manufactures other Corvette models, including the Stingray, Z06, and E-Ray. Chevrolet's Scott Bell emphasized the ZR1's commitment to "raw power and cutting-edge innovation," highlighting the evolution of the Corvette family with each new model. Customers will have the option to choose between a coupe and a convertible version of the ZR1, along with a ZTK performance package designed for track enthusiasts. The new model will feature vibrant color options such as Competition Yellow, Hysteria Purple, and Sebring Orange, along with various interior and exterior customization possibilities. Notably, the iconic split window design will make a return in this iteration of the Corvette. The last ZR1 model was released approximately six years ago, and GM CEO Mary Barra expressed excitement about the upcoming release, stating the company "can’t wait to put customers behind the wheel" of the 2025 Corvette ZR1.
