A man was arrested in San Bernardino following a road rage incident that escalated to gun violence. The confrontation occurred on Thursday morning around 7:45 a.m. when the victim, driving home from work, encountered a blue Chevrolet Camaro near Glen Helen Parkway and Clearwater Parkway. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, the driver of the Camaro, identified as Sandy Thomas, allegedly pointed a firearm at the victim during the altercation. After the incident, the victim promptly called 911, providing a detailed description of Thomas and his vehicle. In response, Sheriff's Aviation units were deployed and successfully located the Camaro parked on Stoneridge Drive in Fontana. Law enforcement agencies, including the California Highway Patrol and Fontana Police Department, coordinated efforts to apprehend Thomas as they executed a search warrant at a nearby residence. During the search of the two-story home, investigators uncovered a black semi-automatic pistol, a pistol grip shotgun, ammunition, and a loaded magazine. Following the discovery of these weapons, Thomas was taken into custody and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to reach out to deputies at the Fontana Sheriff's Station.
