Merseyside Police have released images of 14 men and boys they wish to interview regarding violent riots that erupted in the region following the tragic deaths of three young girls in Southport. Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, were fatally stabbed at a holiday club on July 29, prompting widespread unrest in Southport, Liverpool city centre, and other areas across the UK. The police have emphasized the importance of identifying those in the photographs and urged anyone with information to come forward. Detective Superintendent Paul Speight expressed the community's outrage over the violence and destruction that occurred in the aftermath of the girls' deaths. He stated that the police are diligently reviewing evidence, including images and footage, to identify and prosecute those involved in the riots. Speight reassured the public that the police are committed to taking action against offenders. In connection with the riots, several suspects have already appeared in court, with three men sentenced to prison for their roles in violent disorder, which included setting a police van ablaze and assaulting an officer. Additionally, a 17-year-old from Walton has been charged with violent disorder and burglary, becoming the 16th individual charged in relation to the disturbances that took place on August 3. To date, Merseyside Police have arrested 42 individuals linked to the riots, with 16 facing charges and three currently incarcerated. The investigation continues as authorities seek to restore order and accountability in the community.
