Culver City police are actively searching for two male suspects involved in a brazen armed robbery that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The incident unfolded after the victim withdrew cash from an ATM located in the 5300 block of Sepulveda Boulevard around 1 p.m. Detectives reported that the suspects followed the victim to the intersection of Culver Park Drive and Slauson Avenue. As the victim exited their vehicle to retrieve an item from the trunk, the suspects executed a coordinated approach, boxing the victim in with their own vehicles. One suspect exited the passenger side, brandishing a firearm and demanding the victim to "run your pockets," while the second suspect approached from behind, forcibly removing an envelope containing over $4,000 in cash. Following the robbery, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicles, heading northbound on Slauson Avenue. Both suspects were described as wearing dark clothing, and police are urging the public to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings, especially when conducting banking activities. Authorities have provided safety tips for civilians, including conducting banking during daylight hours, concealing cash, and reporting any suspicious behavior.
