Users can also expect a new glowing border around the display when Siri is active and a double-tap gesture to interact with Siri. Apple Intelligence is designed to leverage personal context across devices, providing tailored recommendations based on factors such as traffic, schedule, and contacts. Currently, the public beta is based on earlier versions of iOS, iPadOS, and MacOS, while the developer beta is part of the upcoming iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and MacOS Sequoia 15.1. Apple plans to release the full version of Apple Intelligence this fall, making it widely available to users in the US. The company has also clarified that Apple Intelligence operates independently from ChatGPT, although it supports third-party AI services, with ChatGPT being the first integration announced. As Apple continues to enhance its AI capabilities, the upcoming iPhone 16 series is expected to support these features as well.
