Mother-of-three dies from severe burns in East London fire

On August 28, a tragic incident occurred in East Ham, London, when 48-year-old Shipli Begum suffered severe burns after fleeing her home engulfed in flames. Neighbors witnessed her running outside, desperately calling for help. Imran Syed, a neighbor, rushed to assist her but found her unresponsive inside the house, where her husband, Mohammed Ahad, was attempting to extinguish the flames with water. Despite their efforts, Ms. Begum was critically injured, having sustained 96 percent burns. A 55-year-old man, known to Ms. Begum, was arrested at the scene and is currently on police bail as investigations continue.
