Woman Arrested After Ex-Boyfriend Shot in Dispute

A 36-year-old woman, Analleli Garcia Mejia, has been arrested in connection with a shooting that resulted in the death of her ex-boyfriend, David Ramirez, during a domestic dispute in San Leandro. The incident occurred on August 22, and the Alameda County Sheriff's Office has indicated that the shooting may have been premeditated. Authorities responded to a residence on Carolyn Street, where they discovered Mejia suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and Ramirez with a fatal gunshot wound to the torso. Despite efforts to save him, Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mejia was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Following the incident, detectives gathered evidence, including video footage, suggesting that Mejia's actions were planned in advance. This led to her arrest on Thursday, and she has since been booked into the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. The Alameda County District Attorney's Office is currently reviewing the evidence to determine the appropriate charges against Mejia.
