Suffolk Police have arrested a 45-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following the discovery of a woman found unconscious while walking her dog. The victim, identified as 57-year-old Anita Rose, was located by a member of the public on a track in Brantham at approximately 06:25 BST on Wednesday. The suspect, from the Ipswich area, was taken into custody at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Saturday. Ms. Rose was reportedly walking her springer spaniel, Bruce, after leaving her home around 05:00 that morning. She was discovered near a sewage works and railway line close to where trains cross the River Stour estuary. Police have indicated that the suspect is not believed to have had any prior connection to the victim.
