In a star-studded event at the O2 Arena, Chicago Sky rookie sensation, who recently made headlines for her impressive debut season, was spotted cheering for the U.S. women’s national basketball team as they triumphed over Germany, 84-57. The rookie, seated between NBA icons Kevin Durant and Steph Curry, showcased her fashion sense in a pink Balenciaga outfit before switching to a black dress. The game marked Team USA's final exhibition before the upcoming Olympics, where they started strong with a commanding 22-9 lead. Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson led the charge with a double-double, scoring 19 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Olympic veteran Breanna Stewart contributed significantly with 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists, while Alyssa Thomas added eight points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Stewart emphasized the need for improvement in their third-quarter performance, stating, “We need to continue to make sure our starts in the third get better every single game.” The U.S. team was eager to rebound after a recent loss to a WNBA All-Star team featuring rookies Reese and Caitlin Clark. The duo, the first rookies to earn All-Star honors since 2014, played pivotal roles in the All-Star game, with Reese recording 12 points and 11 rebounds, while Clark notched a game-high 10 assists. As the WNBA season prepares to resume on August 15 following the Olympic break, Team USA looks forward to their next match against Japan, with a rematch against Germany scheduled for August 4.
