Valentina Petrillo reaches 200m semi-finals at Paris Paralympics

Valentina Petrillo, an Italian transgender athlete, has made significant strides in her athletic career, qualifying for the semi-finals of the women’s T12 200m at the Paralympics held in Paris. At 50 years old, she transitioned in 2019 and has since competed against other athletes, showcasing her talent despite her visual impairment due to Stargardt disease, which she was diagnosed with at age 14.
