The ruler of oil-rich Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah, died at the age of 86

Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah ruled Kuwait for three years. He died Saturday at age 86, state news agency KUNA reports. The Emir of Kuwait ruled the Gulf state for more than three years, state media reports.

Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah has died aged 86 just over three years after assuming power. Kuwait has the seventh largest oil reserves in the world, with the world's largest reserves of crude oil. Sheikh Al Ahmad died three years ago at the age of 86.
