The Trafalgar Square fourth plinth has a statue of every woman

Black ‘everywoman’ statue to appear on Trafalgar Square fourth plinth. New York artist’s Lady in Blue depicts a ‘young, metropolitan woman of colour’ Sadiq Khan hands prime spot to New York artists’ Lady In Blue.

The artists Tschabalala Self and Andra Ursuta will have their creations put on the iconic plinth in 2026 and 2028 respectively. The artists' creations will be put on Trafalgar Square's iconic Fourth Plinth in the 2026/2028.
