Octopus Energy completes takeover of 1.3 million Shell customers. Octopus finished buying Shell's retail energy arm in December 2023. It took just two months to switch all customers over to Octopus energy giant Octopus. The energy giant finished buying all customers in December.

Around 1.3m customers are being switched over from Shell to Octopus. Octopus Energy takes over Shell from the energy giant in a process that is still ongoing. Around 1,000 customers will be switched over to the new energy company. Octopies are still working to switch 1,200 customers from Shell over the next few months.
