Joao Cancelo 'cleared to play for Portugal following medical tests' Cancelo was left out of Barcelona's clash with Atletico Madrid on Sunday as a precaution. A family member was reported to have been diagnosed with a cardiac issue. Cancelo has been ruled out of the Barcelona clash as a result of the issue.

Portugal face Sweden and Slovenia in two friendlies this week. Al-Nassr star Ronaldo won't feature in the former game despite being named by Roberto Martinez in his squad. Portugal team-mate Cancelo says Ronaldo is past his 'peak' and will not feature in either game.
