2,335 University of Michigan healthcare workers are unionized

More than 2,335 University of Michigan Medicine healthcare workers join SEIU Healthcare Michigan. More than 1,300 of the 2,300 healthcare workers have joined the union. The union represents more than a third of the healthcare workers at Michigan's hospitals and facilities. The University of Michigan Medicine hospitality workers have unionized.

More than 2,300 University of Michigan Medicine healthcare workers join the Service Employees International Union. The union represents more than 30,000 of the healthcare workers at the university. The University says the union represents about 2,335 of its healthcare workers in the U.S. state.
