Josh Meyer of Boulder, Colorado, went into sepsis just days after coming down with the flu. He went into multi-organ failure and had to have both feet removed. He plans to amputate both hands, with plans to also have both hands amputated.

Josh lost the use of both of his hands after the flu led to life-threatening sepsis. Doctors had to amputate both his legs to save his life. He also lost the ability to use both his hands which will also have to be amputated. Josh's heart, lungs and kidneys were also attacked by the flu.
