Rick Pitino said that St. John's accepted the new Kentucky coach's offer for home and home
Rick Pitino: St. John's ‘accepts’ new Kentucky coach’s offer for home-and-home. New Wildcats head coach Mark Pope floated the idea out there during his introductory press conference on Sunday in Lexington. Pitino wrote on Twitter that St.John's “accepts the offer”
John Calipari left Kentucky for Arkansas this week. Scott Drew seems to be the focal point of the search for a new coach. The job might already be Drew's to turn down, and the job may already be his to do so. Calipperari has coached the University of Kentucky for 15 years.
Bulls head coach Billy Donovan is considered the "home run hire" and "aspirational" candidate for the Wildcats' opening. ESPN: Donovan considered to be a "home-run hire" for John Calipari. Dan Hurley, Nate Oats and Dan Oats have passed on replacing John Caliipari as head coach.
Rick Pitino, Dan Hurley not expected to replace John Calipari at Kentucky. Don't expect Hurley or Pitino to take over at the helm of the program. John Caliipari is leaving Kentucky to join Arkansas for the next season. Hurley is expected to be the next coach to replace Cali, but not Hurley, Pitino.
