Hearings began Tuesday on Mayor Parker's budget. The hearing focused on public safety spending. Mayor Parker's proposed budget includes funding for 400 new police officers, 150 new radio cars, 75 unmarked cars and money to buy drones. Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel explained to council why using drones is so important.
