Lionesses Euro 2022, hero announces shock international retirement

The 32-year-old scored 16 goals across 84 caps for the Lionesses. Her international career saw her play in as many as six different positions including left back and striker. She played as many different positions as a defender and striker throughout her 84 caps. She scored a total of 16 goals in 84 international appearances.

The Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 to win the European Championship under the Wembley arches. Neither the Women's nor the Men's teams had ever won the tournament under the arches at Wembley. England's Women's and Men's squads have never won a European Championship before.
