Former President Donald Trump’s plan to raise tariffs on US imports would spark a ‘free for all’ in the global trading system, the head of the World Trade Organization said. Existing rules are useless and hurts every economy, the chief of the WTO said.

As the organisation’s anniversary nears, borders around the world are closing again. The WTO is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The organisation has been in touch with the world for more than 30 years, but is still struggling to find a way to work.
