Athletic Bilbao held to 1-1 draw by Villarreal in Spanish league. Villarre scored deep into stoppage time to earn a 1-0 draw in La Liga clash. Bilbahao had celebrated Copa del Rey trophy with win over Real Madrid in the competition.

Athletic Bilbao beat Mallorca 4-2 on penalties to win the Spanish Cup - their first since 1984. The win was Athletic's first in the competition since 1984 and their first in 24 years. Bilbada won 4-1 on penalties after 4-3 on penalties in the first round.
