Boeing will compensate United Airlines for damages caused by the MAX 9 fleet grounding

United Airlines says Boeing to compensate for damages caused by MAX 9 fleet grounding. US regulators had in January grounded some Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft for safety checks following cabin panel blowout in a new Alaska Airlines jet. Compensation provided by Boeing for grounding damages and in connection with rescheduling deliveries is in the form of "credit memos"

Flight attendants picketed at over a dozen airports worldwide after the CEO received a 90% pay increase. United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby made $18.5 million last year — about 264 times more than the average flight attendant. Flight attendants are picketing over the 90% increase.
