Ford unveiled the Mustang GTD at Monterey Car Week last year. As of Wednesday, Americans and Canadians can apply to potentially buy one. The application opens today, April 17, 2024, exactly 60 years after the first Mustang debuted at the 1964 World’s Fair.

Ford Mustang GTD applications are now being accepted for the U.S. and Canada. It's basically a Mustang race car for the road. Ford has opened up its application process for the car. It will be available for the 2025 model of the car, which is based on the 2013 model.
