EasyJet is confident of a record summer as more passengers take to the skies

Easyjet lost between £340m and £360m in the six months to the end of March. Easyjet trim first-half losses by £50m but it lost £340million in the period to end of April. The airline is looking for a record summer with passengers flying in record numbers.

EasyJet said it expects its headline loss before tax to be between £340m and £360m. EasyJet lost £411m a year earlier, down from £411 million in 2013. Easyjet said it expected to lose £340 million in the first half of the year, down to £360 million.

UK airline easyJet's winter performance improved on growing demand and as it added capacity, mitigating the impact of flight suspensions to Israel. easyJet said summer bookings were also building "well" for the six months to the end of March. EasyJet said it expected its pretax loss to come in between 340 million pounds and 360 million pounds.
