Northern Irish woman becomes the latest European Space Agency astronaut after completing training
- Rosemary Coogan, from Northern Ireland, has graduated from space training to become the newest European Space Agency astronaut.
- She is the first woman in the UK to join the European Space Agency as an astronaut.
- Having trained with the ESA since 2009, Coogan will now participate in operational tasks before being assigned a mission.
