There are environmental groups and schools on the Far South Side

Environmental groups, schools mobilize for Earth Day across Far South Side. Schools and environmental groups hosted neighborhood cleanups in honor of Earth Day. Cleanups were held across the city's schools and community centers across the U.S. The event took place on the South Side of Chicago's East Side.

More than 3,000 ladybugs are being released throughout the schoolyard at Merryhill Preschool. Sade Browne is there, joining in the fun! Sade is there to join the fun at the school in celebration of Earth Day. The school is celebrating Earth Day at the end of the day.
