The Asante royal jewels were put on display after being stolen by the British Empire

Crowds flocked to Kumasi, center of the Asante Kingdom, to see the recovered gold regalia, plundered by the British during their colonization of modern day Ghana.

Some of the royal artefacts were stolen by British colonisers during the 19th Century Anglo-Ashanti war.
