The Parks Service has a live camera that shows falcons on Alcatraz Island

"This impressive bird has long been noted for its speed, grace, and aerial skills," the National Park Service says. "Now, it is also a symbol of America's recovering threatened and endangered species."

Anyone who wants to check out the chicks of a nesting pair of peregrine falcons on Alcatraz Island can now do so via a new public webcam set up on the island, the National Park Service and Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy announced Thursday.
