Seth Lugo strikes out 12 in Royals' 4-2 victory over Angels

Seth Lugo had a great game with 12 strikeouts and only allowed one run in eight innings. Hunter Renfroe, who used to play for the Angels, got a two-run single. The Royals won 4-2 against the Angels. Lugo has been doing really well this season, winning six out of eight starts with an ERA of 1.66, which is the best in the American League. Lugo has been consistent, giving up two or fewer earned runs in eight of his nine starts for the Royals. The Angels struggled, losing 17 out of 23 games with many players injured. The Royals had a strong fourth inning, getting five hits in a row. Renfroe, who had a good game, drove in two runs with a single. Calhoun also did well for the Angels, hitting a double and a solo homer. Despite the loss, Angels' manager Ron Washington found positives in the game, saying the team should be pleased with some aspects of their performance. In the next game, the Angels will have Jose Soriano pitching against St. Louis.
