David Copperfield's lawyers said he didn't leave many messages for Epstein. They explained that any messages were from Copperfield's office, in response to Epstein asking for show tickets. Two of Epstein's victims said they were at meetings where this happened. One was at Epstein's home in 2004, and the other was at Copperfield's Las Vegas place in the same year. One of the victims, Sjoberg, said she was invited to a dinner at Epstein's house and got to meet Copperfield. She thought Copperfield and Epstein were friends. When asked about a remark, Copperfield's lawyers said he heard a rumor about girls being paid to bring others to Epstein's place. Sjoberg mentioned that she thought Copperfield was trying to understand what was going on with Epstein. She wasn't sure if they stayed friends after the dinner. She stayed in touch with Copperfield after meeting him at Epstein's home. She also saw him in Las Vegas about 11 years ago. Epstein received messages from Copperfield and his assistant about seeing one of Copperfield's shows. One victim said she got Copperfield tickets from Epstein while he was abusing her. She thought Epstein and the other girls had watched Copperfield's show at the MGM Grand. Copperfield gave Epstein a tour at his museum with 10 staff members.
