The Rangers hope that extra rest will help them in the playoffs

Now that the Rangers are on to the Eastern Conference Final, where they’ll play the Panthers beginning on Wednesday at the Garden, Filip Chytil is yearning for another opportunity to get back into the action.

It’s not yet clear when the Rangers will begin the Eastern Conference Final, but the extra rest gained from avoiding Game 7 against the Hurricanes could bring dividends come Game 1 against the Bruins or Panthers.
