Thousands of people gathered in Long Beach for the Pride Festival, celebrating the LGBTQ community. The festival is a big event in the United States, with lots of performances, vendors, and shows. Musicians like Ivy Queen, Saucy Santana, and Valentina from "Ru Pauls' Drag Race" performed. Jewels, a famous drag queen from Long Beach, also performed. The festival started on Friday with Teen Pride and continued on Saturday and Sunday at Rainbow Lagoon. General admission tickets cost $40 per day, while VIP tickets cost $125 per day and include special access. The festival ended with a parade on Sunday morning, starting on Ocean Boulevard. Before the event, there was a security alert from the State Department about possible threats during Pride events. The Long Beach police assured everyone that they were prepared to keep everyone safe with increased police presence throughout the weekend.
