Hope Cross was built in memory of Sir Ernest Shackleton to travel 7,000 miles to Scotland

The cross stood at Hope Point on the island of South Georgia for nearly 100 years, before a decision was made in 2018 to replace it with a replica.

The memorial at Hope Point, South Georgia, is to find a new home at the Discovery Point museum in Dundee.
