Merlier secures second victory while Pogacar maintains lead in Giro

Tim Merlier won a sprint in the Giro d'Italia. He timed his move well and beat Jonathan Milan. Merlier was surprised by the fast pace but managed to find a gap and win. He rides for Soudal-Quick-Step and this is his second victory in the race. Tadej Pogacar is still leading the race by a big margin. The next stage is hilly with three climbs near the end. Georg Steinhauser won a stage in the Giro d'Italia. He rode alone to his first professional victory. Steinhauser felt confident in his legs and decided to go for the win. He extended his lead over the other riders. The next stage will be a day for sprinters. Pogacar is looking forward to the final stages of the race.
