Police seek suspects in multiple vandalism incidents at University of Denver
- Multiple vandalism incidents, including spray painting and dumping of red paint, reported at University of Denver.
- Police are widening their search for suspects involved in the vandalism incidents on the campus.
- Authorities urge public assistance in locating individuals responsible for the criminal damage.
Days after vandalism was reported at the University of Denver, suspects were caught for another vandalism incident. On Friday night, DU confirmed that two student suspects and a third suspect were accused of vandalizing an academic building on Thursday night. Another possible suspect ran away before being caught. The suspects were caught spray painting inside the building. Denver Police arrested the three suspects. A fourth suspect was reported but not caught. Earlier, on May 19, DU reported vandalism on campus with red paint splashed on entry doors. There was also a false emergency call about a shooting that diverted resources. DU is investigating a possible connection between the vandalism incidents and the false emergency call. Authorities are seeking help to find the person or people who poured red paint on a building at the University of Denver. The crime occurred at the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science on Monday morning. The Campus Safety office initially asked for help, and now Denver police and Crime Stoppers are involved in the search for the suspect. Significant damage was done to the property. The vandalism happened while emergency resources were diverted due to a false shooting report on another part of the campus.
