A neighbor named Alexis shared that the shootout happened close to her house. She showed the video to a friend and mentioned that it's not a bad neighborhood. In the video, a man in a white shirt is seen ducking and holding a firearm, exchanging gunfire. Alexis mentioned that she saw a young man in front of her door yelling and getting shot at. A reporter from CBS News Miami expressed how terrifying the situation must have been. Alexis confirmed it was indeed terrifying, and she still doesn't know what exactly happened. Miami Gardens Police were contacted about the incident that occurred outside Alexis' home a year ago and the recent driveway shooting. They did not respond to the inquiries but mentioned a gang-related shooting in the area less than two weeks ago. Some neighbors expressed feeling unsafe, and police reported that a gang-related shootout had happened in the neighborhood for the second time in 10 days.
