Story

A man in Wisconsin was given a nearly 20-year prison sentence for a firebombing in 2016. The judge, Anthony Nehls, sentenced Elliot Schneider to 18 years for causing property damage with explosives and endangering others. Schneider also got three years for jumping bail. He is serving these sentences together. Schneider is already serving 12 years for child assault. After that, he will start his time for the firebombing and bail jumping. Prosecutors said Schneider made a bomb and paid someone to put it at a house in Fond du Lac. He thought the homeowner stole money from him in a drug deal. The bomb exploded in a mailbox and hurt someone. Debris flew into the house and caused a fire. Schneider didn't admit guilt but accepted the charges to end the case. He said he wasn't part of the incident. His lawyer said he was a different person at 18.
