High schools in North Texas delay football games because of the heat

Dallas ISD Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde says 63 schools within the district were without power at one point Tuesday. All events and activities were canceled but some are back in action Wednesday, including band and dance camps.

Several school districts and universities are closing or delaying classes as a result of Tuesday's storms.

The good news is temperatures are expected to cool down soon.
