Story

Europe wants to be fair and just. Almost 9 out of 10 Europeans want a Europe with good working conditions, inclusion, and equal opportunities. This was found in a survey in 2024. The European Pillar of Social Rights has 20 principles to guide this goal. The European Union has a plan to reach these goals by 2030. The plan includes having at least 78% of people aged 20 to 64 working, 60% of adults in training each year, and reducing poverty by 15 million people, including 5 million children. Research shows that these goals match what European citizens want. Bosnia and Herzegovina sometimes takes longer to agree on solutions to join the European Union. But they respect their constitution and laws. They had a conference about joining the EU. The Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BiH said that starting negotiations with the EU is a big step forward. They are working hard to meet EU standards. The Director of the Directorate for European Integration said that the next steps are important. They need to prepare for meetings with the EU and set up a good negotiation team. A survey showed that only a few voters in European countries want to leave the EU. Even far-right voters mostly want to stay in the EU. In France, only 18% of voters want to leave the EU. In countries that use the euro, only 8% want to go back to their old currency. Voters in far-right parties also prefer to stay in the EU.
