The Los Angeles Police Department honors officers who have died in the line of duty

A day after Memorial Day, the Los Angeles Police Department honored 239 LAPD officers who died in the line of duty since the department was established in 1869.

The Los Angeles Police Department honored all of the 239 LAPD officers who have died in the line of duty since the department was established in 1869 in a ceremony in Downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday.
