King Charles III will participate in Trooping the Colour next month, even though he is undergoing cancer treatment. He will inspect soldiers from a carriage instead of on horseback. The ceremony is set for June 15 and usually involves the Royal Family gathering on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. The King will act as the Inspecting Officer on behalf of the princess. General Bucknall, a former Commander of the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, has been attending the King’s Birthday Parade since 2009. He was appointed Colonel of the Coldstream Guards. It is uncertain if the princess will attend Trooping the Colour due to health reasons. The princess is currently on medical leave following a cancer diagnosis and abdominal surgery. She will return to work once cleared by her medical team. King Charles III resumed his duties a month ago and has been busy with engagements. However, some engagements have been postponed due to the upcoming summer General Election to avoid distractions. Despite the election, the monarchy's significant annual ceremony will proceed as planned, as confirmed by the army.
